Position Summary
The Audit Senior oversees auditing projects, ensuring that tasks are assigned to and completed by auditors in their team. They lead and assist in the auditing process and make sure that audits are completed in accordance with company standards.
Responsibilities
- Begin to oversee staff auditors while under the supervision of a manager or partner
- Involved in the planning stages of the engagement
- Perform in-charge engagement duties to include financial statement preparation, etc.
- Perform technical research and analysis along with writing memoranda as needed
- Work with firm leadership to support the operational elements of the firm’s services, quality control, training and development
- Develop greater focus on client relationships to ensure delivery of exceptional client service
- Begin networking
Skills
- Proven experience as a staff auditor
- In-depth understanding of audit and control practices
- Updated knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Office; especially Excel
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Organizational and leadership abilities
- Integrity and reliability
- Strong communication skills
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to work extended hours during peak busy seasons
- Participate in special firm initiatives as requested by firm leadership
Qualifications
- BS/BA degree in accounting
- CPA or other professional designation
- 2 – 6 years of experience years of related experience
